About The Position

The Machine Operator position is a full-time role in the Production Department, operating on the 1st shift from 6 am to 2 pm. The role involves setting up and operating machines according to production specifications, monitoring and adjusting machine settings for quality and consistency, and performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting. The position requires adherence to all safety, conduct, and attendance rules, as well as following work schedules and production goals. Accurate data entry into production systems, inspection of materials and equipment, and monitoring indicators to ensure standards are met are also key duties. The role also emphasizes maintaining a safe and compliant work area.

Requirements

  • High school graduate with minimum of 1 yr direct industrial experience is preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to efficiently multi-task.
  • Must be a team-player.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Required to talk, hear, stand and walk.
  • Required to stand on your feet to work for several hours at a time.
  • Required to correctly & safely lift, move, sort, place & carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to use hands and fingers, to handle or feel, grasp, reach, lift, push and pull.
  • Occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate machines according to production specifications.
  • Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues with the machinery.
  • Follow all safety, conduct and attendance rules.
  • Follow assigned work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
  • Accurately enter information into production systems.
  • Inspect materials, products, and/or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
  • Monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operations conform to production or processing standards.
  • Consistently follow specifications, job orders, and company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure your work area is in compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
