About The Position

This role is essential in ensuring the optimal performance of our machinery and equipment throughout the production process. The individual will possess strong mechanical aptitude and apply technical skills to operate and maintain manufacturing machinery and equipment throughout the plant.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate with stakeholders in the manufacturing process.
  • Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in the manufacturing process.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least two years of related experience required.
  • Prolonged periods of standing in a factory environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity to evaluate, install, and modify equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate degree or postsecondary certificate in a related discipline (such as industrial maintenance) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup and calibration of machinery and equipment for daily production runs, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Perform minor routine and preventative maintenance on all icing equipment; escalate more complex issues to the maintenance team for resolution.
  • Disassemble, clean, and re-assemble icing equipment.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Work closely with production teams to understand equipment needs and assist in setting up machinery for different production runs.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the production area.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Assist Quality in identifying icing overages, supporting corrective actions, and aligning with customer specifications.
  • Train other associates on setting up equipment and basic troubleshooting of minor issues.
  • Follow written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ensure equipment is used in a way that maximizes efficiency and productivity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
