About The Position

SpaceAge Synthetics is seeking individuals for a Machine Operator position on the Day Shift. The hours for this role are Friday-Sunday, 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM. This position offers the benefit of working 36 hours and getting paid for 40. The wage starts at $22.00 per hour, depending on experience. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating a press machine or a CNC table router and directing the activities of their assigned Material Handler. This role requires understanding customer and machine requirements, and the operator will be trained to program press settings for speed and material quantities. Basic math skills, including adding fractions and division, are necessary. Prior experience in manufacturing/machine operation is a must. All positions require moderate lifting (50 lbs), with occasional heavy lifting (75 lbs +). SpaceAge Synthetics, in business since 1994, is a manufacturer of fiberglass reinforced polyurethane boards used in industries like marine, bus, and flooring. Their product, Ice Cap® ice arena flooring, is used globally in hockey arenas for events beyond ice sports. Requirements

• Prior experience in manufacturing/machine operation a must
• Basic math, including adding fractions and division, is required
• Moderate lifting (50 lbs), with occasional heavy lifting (75 lbs +)
• 2+ years manufacturing experience required

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of, or experience working with, Fiberglass would be helpful but not required
