Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • A minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environment
  • A minimum of one year operating manufacturing machinery and/or equipment
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Experience with hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment and nail guns
  • Able to use of measuring gauges
  • Able to read a tape measure
  • Must be trainable on forklift
  • Must be trainable on crane
  • Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift experience a plus
  • Crane experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Setting up and operating heavy machinery and related gauges to perform various cutting, punching, forming, blocking, and processing operations.
  • Understanding and following safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and around a manufacturing environment.
  • Setting up and operating machinery and equipment to cut, punch, form, or paint quality finished or semi-finished parts.
  • Operating computerized equipment and material handling equipment.
  • Operating various CNC-controlled machines, such as presses, lasers, and rolling mills in a fast-paced production setting, with an emphasis on safety and quality.
  • Performing routine preventive maintenance, adjustments, and lubrication on equipment and production tools as required to maintain proper operation.
  • Marking part numbers, order numbers, and the number of pieces on parts. Attaching identification tags as required for customer to have the ability locate correct parts.
  • Interpreting blueprints, specifications, and other technical data to select the correct raw material or semi-finished parts.
  • Maintaining continuous improvement practices in work area.
  • Providing cost-saving suggestions and ideas to improve productivity and eliminate waste.
  • Utilizing scanning equipment.
  • Inspecting work visually for defects according to Quality Systems.
  • Reading a tape measure, writing, and following posted schedules.
  • Being a team player and keeping safety first.
  • Willingness to work overtime.
