Requirements

  • Excellent attendance and safety record.
  • Knowledge of basic machine functions and operation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Using either control mechanisms or direct activity to operate equipment and processes, this includes monitoring equipment and processes to ensure they are working properly.
  • Thorough in accomplishing tasks, no matter how small they may be, and taking care to make sure that expectations are met.
  • Working as part of a coordinated effort with others to achieve a common goal.
  • Being proactive with seeking out work that needs to be done and being willing to take on responsibilities and challenges.
  • Willingness and confidence to have immediate and direct conversations on critical alignment issues such as teamwork, building relationships, initiating and supporting change, and production process issues that arise. This includes the willingness to face adversity and conflict head on.
  • Ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Nice To Haves

  • Operational knowledge of machines and processes in a structured manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to work across multiple stations.
  • Understanding of general machine setup and teardown processes.
  • Ability to maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Experience operating a crane and/or forklift.
  • Ability to follow prescribed safety rules and regulations while maintaining quality standards.
  • Machine and process troubleshooting experience.
  • Proficiency in the use of a tape measure and other required tools.
  • Preferred Machine Operator experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform startup, changeover, and shutdown procedures for the assigned production line area.
  • Perform milling, turning, drilling, tapping, deburring, molding, bench operations, and inspections.
  • Perform quality checks and provide guidance to line personnel to facilitate optimal performance and operational efficiency.
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance.
  • Report equipment malfunctions or abnormalities.
  • Complete required reports, and respond to inquiries as needed.
  • Accurately track material usage and reconcile usage at the end of each shift through data entry in Excel spreadsheets.
  • Maintain cleanliness within the assigned production area.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
