The Machine Operator position involves working on the 2nd Shift, Monday through Friday, from 2 PM to 10 PM. Responsibilities include setting up die sets, line plates, or line bars with necessary punch and notch detail units, and installing corresponding sheet metal operations. The operator will also be required to operate saws, shears, press brakes, a computer terminal, and a forklift, as well as hand form metal when necessary. On-the-job training will be provided. The role requires a High School Diploma, the ability to interpret blueprints or bills of material, and the capacity to be cross-trained in other areas. Initial training will occur on the 1st shift (Monday - Friday, 6 AM - 2 PM) for a period of time. Physical demands include using hand tools, working on ladders, solo lifting up to 49 pounds regularly, team lifting 50-100 pounds frequently, team lifting more than 100 pounds occasionally, pushing/pulling wheeled carts up to 400 pounds, standing for extended periods, and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
