About The Position

Join our innovative team as a Machine Operator and play a crucial role in the smooth running of our automated bar feed machines. This position involves not only maintaining machines stocked with essential materials like bars, oil, and coolant, but also optimizing our production process to enhance efficiency and quality.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Basic math and computer skills, including proficiency with tablets.
• Skilled in using measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Comprehensive knowledge of cutting tools, with expertise in swapping saw blades, turning inserts, and other equipment components.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ready bars for production by sanding and cutting bar stock to supply multiple departments.
• Manage and replenish oil and coolant levels, ensuring machines operate at peak performance.
• Handle routine maintenance tasks such as replacing air filters and changing tooling on equipment, along with monitoring and maintaining concentrate levels for precision tools.
• Efficiently remove bar ends and scrap, contributing to our sustainability efforts.
• Maintain a pristine work environment through daily cleaning of machines and areas, adhering to our 5S cleanliness and organization standards.
• Actively participate in team meetings to boost performance, solve production challenges, enhance safety, and implement continuous improvement strategies.
• Train peers in various job tasks across product centers and support areas, sharing knowledge and fostering a team-oriented culture.
• Willingly work overtime as necessary and take on additional responsibilities to ensure seamless operations.
