About The Position

The Machine Operator will be responsible for unloading material from vendor trucks, checking it in, and then performing various fabrication tasks. This includes cutting, drilling, punching, and bending materials according to drawings. The role also involves calculating bends, checking cutting fluids, operating heavy machinery like cranes and forklifts, grinding, and creating simple dies and fixtures. Maintaining a safe, neat, and clean work area is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, hands and arms, feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Ability to reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to climb ladders.
  • Ability to balance.
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to talk or hear.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to work afternoon shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Use of powered tools including shears, punches, saw, drills, press brake, end mill, cnc punch, threader, tube bender, forklifts, cranes, grinders, and various hand tools both powered and manual.
