About The Position

This position is with Great Kitchens, Inc., part of the Rich Products family of companies. The purpose of this role is to prepare and operate machines safely, efficiently, and cleanly. The Machine Operator is responsible for the production of a quality product that meets all customer and regulatory requirements. They will effectively communicate with their supervisor, ensure necessary tools, settings, and supplies are ready prior to production, and maintain constant attendance to the machines, preventing untrained employees from improper use. The role also involves recording and accounting for all materials used on the line for the assigned shift, assisting the supervisor in maintaining clean and safe work areas, making minor machine adjustments, and informing the supervisor and maintenance department when major repairs are required. Additionally, the operator will record all downtime due to machine malfunctions and report them to the supervisor at the end of the shift. Adherence to all GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices), including good hand washing practices and adhering to the employee hygiene plan, is required. The operator must follow all USDA guidelines and report any issues regarding food safety or quality to supervision and/or quality assurance, and comply with customer requirements when applicable.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1+ years Machine operator experience required
  • Basic computer skills including Excel and Word
  • Self-motivated and ability to take initiative and use sound judgment in day-to-day decision making
  • Punctual and reliable in work attendance
  • Ability to organize and communicate to all levels of personnel
  • Flexible and able to manage others
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Excellent English communication skills required

Responsibilities
