About The Position

This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process and ensuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. The role involves monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed, notifying the supervisor of any maintenance requirements, and maintaining a safe work environment while adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

• At least 3 months of machine operator experience within the last 6 months listed on the application (can be a combination of employers as long as the experience is at least 3 months).
• Ability to read, write and complete necessary paperwork.
• Must provide Social Security Number on application.
• Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all production equipment is set up and prepared per production schedule, including labels, batter, stuffing, etc.
• Overseeing machine operations and making minor equipment adjustments.
• Performing metal detections and other quality and USDA required inspections.
• Reading, writing, and completing necessary paperwork.
• Performing basic maintenance on machines.
• Contacting Maintenance Mechanic if necessary.
• Interacting with Line Leads to determine equipment set-up and operation.
• Making machine adjustments when production changeovers occur.
• Working on the production line and ensuring product standards.
• Providing assistance to lower-level team members.
• Training new or recently promoted team members.
