About The Position

This role is for an Assistant Operator on the night shift, working 12-hour rotating shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including rotating weekends. The primary function is to support the main Operator in running production lines, ensuring quality and efficiency standards are met. Responsibilities include assisting with die changes, operating forklifts, performing quality checks, minimizing scrap, supporting maintenance, and ensuring safety compliance. The role requires collaboration with team members across shifts and assisting the Maintenance Team when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure and document quality data.
• Forklift and industrial vehicle operation experience.
• Safety-conscious mindset and ability to follow standardized work instructions.

Nice To Haves

• Prior manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Operator in setting up and running production lines to meet quality and efficiency standards.
• Help assist the Operator during die changes.
• Operate forklifts and other powered industrial vehicles to stage materials and supplies.
• Perform quality checks including length/width, vacuum tests, and micrometer readings.
• Help minimize scrap and maximize material recovery.
• Support minor maintenance tasks and housekeeping duties.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Collaborate with team members across shifts for smooth transitions.
• Assist with troubleshooting and support the Maintenance Team when needed.
