Requirements

Must be on time every day and ready to work.
Compute basic math problems.
Basic computer skills.
Work Monday through Thursday, 10-hour shifts with overtime on Friday as needed. Start at 5:30 am. Finish at 4:00pm.
Safely operate a forklift and/or pallet jack.
Load, unload, and package product coming off of Thermoforming lines.
Ability to follow direction.
Intermediate bending, stooping, pushing, pulling and lifting up 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for up to 10 hours to perform job related tasks.
High school education or equivalent education level to meet math and verbal job requirements.
Must have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others, to make good decisions and suggestions, and achieve production goals.
Demonstrated math skills indicating ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.
Ability to read and interpret bar graphs.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Detail oriented with an ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write comments on production numbers and quality when called upon to do so.
Ability to clearly communicate ideas and messages with co-workers.
Have basic computer skills to include knowledge Excel, Word, and Outlook programs.
Basic ERP system skills.
Basic mechanical understanding
Thorough knowledge of products produced.
Ability to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
Must pass and maintain forklift certification to operate forklift.
Must be able to work 10-hour shifts on feet in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification is preferred but not required. We train.

Responsibilities

Operates thermoforming machinery and trimming equipment according to operation instructions and set work procedures during scheduled shifts. Ensures that each part manufactured is formed properly, no holes or defects in the part, labeled with correct UPC label if needed, all cuts are straight and in the proper place, and all cartons are stapled as shown and properly marked.
Works in a manner so as to avoid injury to any person or damage to any machinery or equipment used for production.
Cooperates with other production employees and assists in line start-up, shut-down, and roll change activities.
Provides suggestions or comments as necessary to ensure efficient start-up, shut-down, and roll change activities. Provides routine machinery maintenance according to maintenance schedules and procedures.
Assists in packaging, skidding, and shipping and receiving functions in Manufacturing.
Fills in when required on other Manufacturing shifts as well as the Warehouse and Maintenance areas.
Assists in tool changes as directed, storing tools in proper place.
Maintains a clean and well-organized work area.
May do other activities as requested by Shift Lead or Production Manager which support the company’s overall efficiency and effectiveness goals.
