About The Position

The Machine Operator position is responsible for setting up and maintaining equipment, operating assigned machinery, and ensuring a clean work environment throughout the shift. The role requires accurate completion of production documentation, basic troubleshooting of equipment, and flexibility to perform additional tasks and cross-train in other areas as needed. This position involves working 8-12 hour shifts, standing for extended periods, and may require working in both cold and hot environments. The operator must adhere to safety protocols, including wearing provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hair/beard nets, hearing protection, and safety-toed rubber boots.

Requirements

  • Must have 3.0 attendance occurrences or less.
  • No more than 1 active disciplinary action.
  • Must have been in current position for at least 6 months.
  • Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Practice good safety habits and have a good safety record.
  • Practice good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
  • Maintain good attendance.
  • Practice good housekeeping at all times.
  • Must be able to work with support groups to make sure lines are ready to start on time and minimized downtime.
  • Must know product specifications and how to maintain correct specifications and lines speeds.
  • Must be willing to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Must be willing to be flexible.
  • Organization and written skills.
  • General knowledge of computers.
  • Must be willing to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be willing to work 8-12 hour shifts - standing.
  • Must be willing to work in a production environment requiring safety glasses, hair/beard net, hearing protection, and rubber boots with safety toe.
  • Must be willing to withstand cold and hot environments.
  • Must sweep and clean area during and after shift.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to include, but not limited to cross training in other areas.

Responsibilities
