About The Position

The Machine Operator 3 role involves operating Closer's, Filler's, and line setup. This position requires a strong emphasis on safety, including the ability to safely turn machines on and off, maneuver around operating machinery, and maintain awareness of surroundings and fellow employees to ensure adherence to safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). The role also includes understanding food safety requirements as outlined in SQF and USDA, maintaining a clean work environment, filling out Daily Maintenance Forms, and performing other assigned duties. Communication skills and basic mathematical abilities (adding/subtracting two-digit numbers, multiplying/dividing by 10s and 100s) are also necessary.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate with others orally.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.
• Ability to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Working understanding of food safety requirements as outlined in SQF and USDA.

Responsibilities

• Safely turn off and on the machines.
• Safely run and maneuver around magnets while production is running.
• Use caution while running machines within the Canning plant, ensuring correct alignment and clear traffic.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and fellow employees to ensure adherence to safety policies and GMPs.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Understand food safety requirements as outlined in SQF and USDA.
• Fill out Daily Maintenance Form.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
