About The Position

Machine Operators are responsible for performing operations on assigned machines. This individual efficiently operates production equipment, burrs machined products, and inspects parts in process and finished goods. The role involves operating CNC mills, CNC lathes, drill presses, and other machines that require setups and tool changes. The operator may also use a computer console and simple measurement instruments like micrometers, calipers, and digital height stands to check work. Simple adjustments are made by the operator, with more complex tool or machine adjustments requiring notification to a Lead.

Requirements

• Familiar with measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, digital height stands, blueprints, analytical skills

Nice To Haves

• 1 year experience with CNC equipment and/or experience in manufacturing environment.
• Solid work history (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment properly and safely.
• Sets up and operates machine by work order, drawings, templates, or layouts.
• Familiar with CNC machine/tool offset adjustments.
• Follow work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Use of small hand tools.
• Cleans/organizes/straightens areas as defined by Lead or Supervisor which may including wiping down the machines, removing trash, sweeping area, scrap bins, skids, boxes and/or other items that result from factory environment.
• Performs additional duties and assignments as required.
