About The Position

This full-time Machine Operator position is responsible for weighing and ticketing all rack of logs, placing and identifying processed meats in proper locations within the freezer, and weighing and ticketing all combos. The role also involves cleaning freezer walls and floors, rotating racks to maintain proper temperature, and taking inventory of rack weights. The operator must be able to make decisions and act on material to be used, perform various other tasks as assigned, and uphold the principles of SQF 2000. This includes recognizing product that may not meet standards and thinking through situations to resolve issues. The position requires the ability to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 8 hours, in a wet environment, and perform tasks like standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting for extended periods on a concrete floor. The role also involves working with machinery and chemicals, and the ability to work in cycles of less than 30 seconds.

Requirements

  • Must have 6 months of continuous employment in the last 18 months.
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to drive forklift and pass the forklift test in order to become certified.
  • Must have excellent written & oral communication skills.
  • Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
  • Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours.
  • Must be willing and able to work cycles in less than 30 seconds.
  • Must be willing and able to work in a wet environment.
  • This position does not accept rehires.

Nice To Haves

  • At least 5 months of relevant machine operator, warehouse, agricultural or production experience.
