About The Position
Experienced Machine Operators are sought for a specialized role operating a Magni Machine fitted with a Woodcracker head. This full-time opportunity involves vegetation clearance around powerlines across the Warrnambool region, including Warrnambool, Portland, and Hamilton. The role offers consistent hours, overtime, and DIDO options for the right candidate. Requirements
- Current driver’s licence
- C6 ticket and Dogman ticket
- Flexibility to work away from home when required
- Mechanical aptitude and confidence working with equipment
- Motivation to learn machinery operation and expand your skill set
Nice To Haves
- First Aid/CPR
- White Card
- MR/HR Truck Licence
- Chainsaw operation qualification (Certificate Level 1 & 2)
- EWP experience
Responsibilities
- Operating a Magni and learning to use the Woodcracker head in live vegetation management environments
- Pre-start and maintenance checks
- Setting up drop zones and exclusion zones
- Safety observing + chainsaw tasks
- Conducting on-site risk assessments
