About The Position

Richardson International is seeking a Machine Operator for the 3rd shift. This role involves operating packaging equipment, ensuring accuracy in product specifications, weights, and codes. The operator will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, performing minor repairs and routine maintenance, and ensuring the quality of the product and packaging. Safety and adherence to regulations are paramount. The position requires meticulous documentation of downtime and repairs, and proactive reporting of machine issues to the shift supervisor.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime

Previous manufacturing experience
Mechanical aptitude to repair equipment

Responsibilities

Operates packaging equipment and both tote stations according to product specifications and ensuring accuracy in weights and codes. Adjusts machines as required
Maintains proper documentation of downtime and repairs. Performs minor repairs and routine maintenance work on equipment
Continually checks the quality of the product, packaging, and case printing. Reports any issues or concerns
Inspects and conducts regular deep cleaning of equipment after each product change, and continuously maintains cleanliness of equipment
Operates in accordance with health, safety and fire prevention regulations and practices.
Report machine problems to the shift supervisor and ensure machine logs are accurately filled out, detailing mechanical and non-mechanical downtime. Fill out work order requests as needed to ensure appropriate machine uptime
