About The Position

Woodstream is the largest independent pest & animal control platform in North America, offering innovative brands with industry-leading efficacy and safety. We currently have an exciting manufacturing opportunity available at our Lititz Manufacturing site. This role is responsible for safety, quality, and throughput, and is capable of optimizing equipment in various work centers. The Production Operator A will participate as a team in solving problems and implementing solutions to increase Woodstream’s productivity. Success will be determined by the positive way in which they communicate, cooperate, interact, and contribute towards achieving work center goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in use of gages and tools required to monitor quality.
  • Use of micrometer OR hand caliper
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Basic problem solving skills
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • High School Diploma/GED required or 1-2 years experience in a mechanical trade
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English
  • Ability to pass the Pro A qualification test

  • Achieved certification of and operates with proficiency in one or more of the following work centers on the list of the Active Certifications

Responsibilities

  • Operates with proficiency in one or more work centers on the list of Active Certifications.
  • Produces consistently, parts and/or product that meets the specified quality requirements.
  • Performs adjustments of a minor, frequent or repetitious nature, as defined by the work center’s task list and process documentation.
  • Maintains and supports continuous operations in accordance with work center schedules.
  • Maximizes machine efficiency and throughput, and when appropriate, seeks assistance for equipment failure.
  • Interacts with others towards accomplishment of team goals/objectives.
  • Provides quality cross training and support to co-workers as needed. Integrates temporary employees into duties as required.
  • Participates in identifying problems, suggests improvements and participates where appropriate in implementation of solutions.
  • Operates in a safe manner and complies with safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Maintains work area in a neat and orderly way, during and at end of shift.
  • Records and maintains any data related to work activity in a concise, accurate way, and communicates appropriately.
  • Assists in operations in any which way deemed essential to meet production requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
