About The Position

As an Operator in a manufacturing environment, you are responsible for combining hands-on assembly work with basic equipment operation to support efficient, safe, and high-quality production. In this role, you assemble components according to standardized work instructions while also operating and monitoring production equipment as needed. You ensure that products are built correctly, processes run smoothly, and production targets are consistently achieved. In addition, you are responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area, following all safety procedures, accurately completing production documentation, and supporting material flow throughout the production line. This position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, the ability to follow standardized procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1 to 3+ years of related work experience
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Communication skills
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
  • Basic arithmetic ability
  • Reading and writing skills
  • Ability to work well with individuals and teams to ensure the team meets & exceeds expectations
  • Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following PPE for a period of up to 12 hours: Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes
  • Must be able to do the following repeatedly for a period of up to 12 hours: Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds, Stoop, twist, bend, overhead reach, sit and/or stand

Responsibilities

  • Prepare equipment and materials for production
  • Operate equipment in accordance with the OP Manual, in-putting materials, and monitoring defects/loss for continuous operation
  • Conduct self-inspection of the product and check the quality
  • Maintain accurate records of production work in GMES (Global Manufacturing Execution System)
  • Track all non-conformations and scraps
  • Compliance with health/safety/environmental/fire regulations
  • Perform 5s audits, maintain production logs, quality checks and maintenance work logs
  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards: Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
  • Follow LGESMI existing cleaning SOP’s during downtime (e.g. line stop, waiting time, etc.), which includes cleaning your designated machine and/or surrounding work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned
