About The Position
LeachGarner is hiring a Machine Operator to work as a power brush operator on 1st shift. This role operates in a manufacturing facility where conditions may include exposure to loud noise, fluctuating temperatures (hot or cold), and moving machinery. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. The position involves walking, standing, pushing/pulling, and lifting of materials throughout the shift.
Requirements
- Experience working as a machine operator in a production environment preferred
- An understanding of production procedures
- Able to speak and understand English
- Visual acuity and manual dexterity
- Good math skills
- Able to lift 20 pounds of material repeatedly throughout the shift
- High school diploma or GED
Responsibilities
- Perform various stock-handling functions, primarily responsible for scrubbing sheets of precious metal
- Run sheets of precious metal through scrubbing machine
- Accurately record weight and specs
- Properly route product to next step in process
- Visually inspect material for spots, scratches or other defects
- Work from production orders, instruction sheets, charts, tables, and verbal and written instructions from supervisor
- Maintain work area in clean, safe and orderly condition
- Follow established safety and production policies
- Follow all safety and PPE protocols
- Perform other tasks as needed to further our company's goals and uphold our commitments
