About The Position

Ultradent, the global name in oral health, is seeking a Machine Operator for the swing shift 4/10 Schedule (MTWTH 3:30PM-2AM). This position maintains production on a daily basis inside a clean room environment. Responsibilities include accurate documentation of manufacturing processes, both hand-written and electronic. Under minimum supervision, the operator will set up, operate, and clean machine(s), learn to operate a variety of machinery effectively, and work with a team to accomplish department objectives. The role also involves maintaining 5s condition in the area, loading and emptying parts from machines, inspecting for quality, and packaging product. Operators will focus on following GMPs and SOPs, communicating with supervisors and technicians when quality issues arise, making necessary adjustments to machinery, and meeting daily production schedules and quality standards by following work and safety instructions. A key part of the role is visually inspecting component parts to ensure compliance with current quality standard documentation and working safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following safety procedures and observing potentially hazardous situations.

Requirements

  • Candidates should have experience with filling/packaging of products
  • Candidates must have machine operating experience
  • Must be able to monitor QC of product for visual defects
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds from floor level to above head
  • Must be able to carry 80 pounds
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
  • Technical mindset
  • Must be willing to work all machines as assigned
  • Must have knowledge of basic math skills

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
  • Experience or understanding in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, TPM, SMED, TOC) a plus

Responsibilities
