Machine Operator - 2nd shift - Wire EDM and Mills

About The Position
Primarily operate Wire EDMs on 2nd shift to produce quality products. This role involves working on Mill Machines as needed, inspecting own work using various inspection tools, and maintaining quality and production standards. The position also includes performing secondary operations, reading and interpreting blueprints, participating in continuous improvement teams, and maintaining a safe and clean working environment. Overtime may be required, and other tasks may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- At least 6 months-1 year experience required with Wire EDM
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to do basic math
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Must be able to lift 35 lbs on a regular basis
Responsibilities
- Operate Wire EDMs
- Work on Mill Machines as needed
- Inspect own work using various inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and optical comparator
- Maintain quality and production standards
- Perform secondary operations as required
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Participate on continuous improvement teams and incorporate lean practices into daily activities
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Willing to work overtime
- Other tasks as assigned by Supervisor
