Machine Operator - 1st Shift - Sanford, N.C.
About The Position
This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process and ensuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. ATTN Prior Tyson Workers: Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 365 days and are limited to 3 times of employment. The pay for this position starts between $17.10- $17.50/hr. depending on open positions. Hours: 1st Shift- 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Requirements
- 3 months work history with the same employer.
- Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Willing and able to perform physical and visual inspections of product and plant systems.
Responsibilities
- Operate the machines in the Corn / Flour department.
- Closely monitor machines, make necessary adjustments, and promptly report any issues to the supervisor or lead.
- Maintain various log sheets.
- Document and calculate results accurately.
- Take corrective action when necessary (alert appropriate personnel to adjust process; identify, segregate, & isolate non-conforming product).
- Report results to management.
- Perform any additional assignments requested.
