About The Position
Dart Container is hiring Machine Operators at its Waxahachie, Texas facility. The role is responsible for safely operating production machinery, keeping it running efficiently, and maintaining quality standards. Operators work with process equipment across production, from raw materials through downstream finished goods. Available schedules are 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. for days or 7:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. for overnights. Pay is $21 per hour, with an additional $2 per hour shift premium for overnight shifts.
Requirements
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic problems, including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Math skills including simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Minimum proficiency in English to support effective new-hire training and ongoing communication about safety and quality issues.
Responsibilities
- Assist with setting up, starting, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and properly shutting down process equipment.
- Assist with process machinery from raw materials through downstream finished goods.
- Maintain production logs and reports as required.
- Perform production processes in SAP as required.
