About The Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating woodworking machinery and equipment used in the production of custom commercial cabinetry, millwork, and solid surface components. This position ensures precision, safety, and efficiency throughout the manufacturing process.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating woodworking or CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and production documents.
  • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with shop tools and machines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs. and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and reaching.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Valid driver’s license preferred for potential field support work.
  • Forklift certification a plus.
  • Experience working with custom cabinetry, millwork, or solid surface materials.
  • Basic installation skills or on-site field service experience.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate woodworking machines such as saws, routers, edge banders, and CNC machines to cut, shape, and prepare custom cabinet and millwork components.
  • Read and interpret shop drawings, work orders, and blueprints to determine machine setup and production requirements.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on assigned equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Assist with the movement of materials and components through the production process.
  • Support field installation crews with on-site installation or adjustments of millwork and solid surface products as needed.
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or production concerns to supervisors.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE and adherence to OSHA regulations.
