About The Position

We’re looking for a Machine Operator to help set up and run CNC and conventional machines to produce quality parts that meet production specs. This is hands‑on shop work—running machines, checking parts, and making sure the job gets done safely and the right way. You’ll work under the direction of a supervisor and be expected to handle your setup, quality checks, and daily tasks with consistency and attention to detail. At Chromalloy Carson City, your work directly supports aviation safety and reliability. Our teams repair and manufacture critical aerospace components used across the global aviation industry. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Passing score on job‑related skills test
• Able to read and write in English
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Comfortable using handheld measuring tools
• Able to work independently or as part of a team
• Safety‑minded and detail‑oriented

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and conventional machines
• Load programs and make simple edits as needed
• Set up machines, fixtures, and tools
• Inspect and measure parts to ensure specs are met
• Blend surfaces or remove excess material using hand tools or machines
• Modify parts as required by production specs
• Follow assembly and production requirements for new parts
• Use production tracking systems
• Maintain 5S standards in your work area
• Keep safety and housekeeping standards where they should be
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental rules
• Work within the Quality Control Manual (QCM)
• Be aware of ISO / Total Customer Satisfaction (TCS) requirements
• Support “One Chromalloy” Core Values
• Maintain regular, reliable attendance
• Help out with other shop tasks as needed
