About The Position

Flexco, a leading global manufacturer, is seeking an experienced 2nd shift Machine Operator to work in our air-conditioned facility. The role is seeking someone with experience in manufacturing, and top applicants will have previous experience learning a complex process. The role will be responsible for setting, operating, and troubleshooting various machines within this cell. Experience with automated assembly machines will be a big advantage as well! Machine Operators at Flexco can expect a starting compensation of between $22.00 - $27.00, which includes a 5% shift premium, per hour, or more, depending on experience, skills and education.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude is required for this position.
  • Moderate physical effort required to handle parts and cartons, which is equivalent to lifting or moving average weight material frequently.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be needed and provided by Flexco.
  • Willingness to learn and follow documented processes

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties to set up and operate HD assembly machines and hand-packing of products.
  • Work from an ERP system to complete job orders, product control, inspection procedures, preventive maintenance, machine manuals, kit lists, and instructions.
  • Set up automated assembly machine, install specified die sets and fix sets/fixtures in machine for new setups
  • Run and inspect sample parts, assemblies and bag units to check machine setups and make adjustments as necessary to maintain job specifications and established quality standards.
  • Pack completed parts and bags in cartons following prescribed procedures and move material in the area as required.
  • Operate equipment to form and boxes and troubleshoot if needed
  • Perform preventative maintenance procedures in the HD department as required.
  • Balance raw material and finished goods on assigned jobs and enter required data in the computer system to maintain prescribed procedures and move material in the area as required.
  • Keep manager informed of unusual material or equipment problems.
