With locations in Stevens and Womesldorf, PA, we are committed to our employees' satisfaction, safety, well-being, and professional development. We are hiring for a FIRST SHIFT - Machine Operator. Hours are: 5:30am - 3pm (with some mandatory OT & Saturdays). As a meat packaging machine operator, you will work in a fast-paced production area, where products are passed from meat cages & bins to various packaging machinery. Duties include checking and controlling the machinery that packages the product to ensure that production has a constant supply of materials, adjusting the speed of the machinery, Machinery setup & tear down & troubleshooting, checking instruments at regular intervals, and maintaining machine cleanliness. When problems arise during the production process, stop the machine and report the issue to a supervisor.

Requirements

Capable of lifting 30-50 lbs. frequently, in addition to pushing/pulling fully loaded meat cages & product bins.
Ability to be adequately trained & authorized to use machinery cleaning chemicals, including mandatory PPE.
Consistent and reliable attendance.
Must be able to follow instructions and procedures.
Comply with all health/safety, food safety, and basic hygiene rules.

Responsibilities

Supervising all operational & safety related functions pertaining to company equipment & machinery such as VC999, Shrink Tunnel, Peeler, Rollstock, Treif Slicers, Spiral Slicers, Band Saw, Cubing Machine, Box Tapers, Metal Detectors, Pallet Jacks, High Lifts, & other production related machinery.
Documenting all production-related activities on the Product Traceability Computer System.
Maintaining a work environment that is neat, clean, and hazard-free.
Following instructions and procedures.
Complying with all health/safety, food safety, and basic hygiene rules.
