While reporting to the Production Supervisor as a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for Set -up, operation and maintenance of machinery, ensuring machine produces high quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity and is properly maintained.

Requirements

  • Have a basic mechanical understanding; Trouble shooting, gear rotation, etc.
  • Able to read a tape measure and how to use basic tools such as rachets, impact drills, wrenches, etc.
  • Possess analytical skills and pays attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle heavy equipment.
  • Have experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Able to stand, stoop, bend, lift and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver large items up to 50 pounds safely.

Responsibilities

  • Set-up, operation and maintenance of machinery, ensuring machine produces high quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity and is properly maintained.
  • Work in a fast paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
  • Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment start up and operation on multiple pieces of equipment.
  • Communicate with team members and support teams to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high-quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials.
  • Operate/Monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality and minimal unplanned stops.
  • Perform tasks as assigned by supervision.
