About The Position

The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of grinding and/or baling equipment used to process recyclable materials. This role supports daily production activities by operating machinery, handling materials, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment while ensuring compliance with company safety and operational standards.

Requirements

• 1 years of manufacturing, recycling, or grinding operation experience preferred
• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
• Ability to use hands and arms to operate machinery and equipment
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and lift materials throughout the shift
• Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees and supervisors
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, moisture, dust, and dirty environments
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and industrial equipment
• Ability to maintain close and distance vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision necessary for operating machinery and completing documentation

Responsibilities

• Operate grinding and/or baling equipment and other related production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Move, load, and stage materials using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Assist with equipment setup, cleaning, and routine maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow all safety procedures.
• Perform other production duties as assigned by the supervisor.
