About The Position

The Machine Operator position is a full-time role in the Production Department, reporting to the Production Supervisor. This role involves operating machinery according to production specifications, monitoring and adjusting settings for quality, performing routine maintenance, and adhering to all safety, conduct, and attendance rules. The operator will follow assigned work schedules to meet production goals, accurately enter information into production systems, and inspect materials and equipment for defects or malfunctions. They will also monitor gauges and indicators to ensure operations meet production standards and maintain a work area compliant with safety and sanitation regulations.

Requirements

  • High school graduate with minimum of 1 yr direct industrial experience is preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to efficiently multi-task.
  • Must be a team-player.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Required to talk, hear, stand and walk.
  • Required to stand on your feet to work for several hours at a time.
  • Required to correctly & safely lift, move, sort, place & carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to use hands and fingers, to handle or feel, grasp, reach, lift, push and pull.
  • Occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate machines according to production specifications.
  • Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot any issues with the machinery.
  • Follow all safety, conduct and attendance rules.
  • Follow assigned work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
  • Accurately enter information into production systems.
  • Inspect materials, products, and/or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
  • Monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operations conform to production or processing standards.
  • Consistently follow specifications, job orders, and company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure your work area is in compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
