About The Position

Requirements

Average math skills.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English.
Ability to complete simple logs and reports in English.
Physically able to handle heavy items, including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components.
Ability to work scheduled hours and comply with company policies.
Ability to consistently stand for an entire shift.
Ability to learn fundamental machining concepts.
Proficiency in using measuring devices.
Attention to detail.
Dependability and consistent performance.
Flexibility to respond effectively to shifting production demands.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.

Responsibilities

Follow production instructions and tasks from process sheets, blueprints, or verbal directions.
Align and secure dies, punches, blades, or other fixtures to ensure safe machine operation.
Set up and operate machines such as lathes, mills, drills, presses, and CNC machines according to specifications.
Monitor production processes, perform inspections and measurements of finished products using tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify they meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing PPE, adhering to safety regulations, and using a crane or buddy system for heavy parts. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Assist in other areas or departments as needed.
