About The Position

This position involves operating and monitoring machinery to produce belts, ensuring quality and accuracy. The role requires the ability to perform machine setups, conduct quality checks, perform minor maintenance, and manage production orders using computer systems. The operator will be responsible for ensuring that belt specifications are met according to manufacturing orders and performing necessary tests and measurements.

Requirements

Ability to perform aspects of assembly.
Ability to use computers to close out and reprint manufacturing orders.
Ability to read job manufacturing orders to determine belt specifications.
Ability to calculate spec cards.
Ability to perform wire bend test correctly and at designated time for each machine.
Ability to read and use calipers and tape measures.
Proficiency in all aspects of machine setup including controller length, payoff speed, cutter, benders, dump tray, Z-center according to belt number.
Ability to operate and observe machine to detect work pieces defects or machine malfunction.
Ability to measure wire dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operations.
Ability to monitor quality, checking twists, bow, curve, edges, length, number of spans, belt tightness, sponge, pitch, and parallel.
Ability to perform minor machine maintenance such as lubrication of moving parts, cleaning, or replacing broken components.
Ability to move finished stacks to designated area.
