About The Position

Machine Operator I sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines, and secures and maintains the materials and supplies needed for the operation. The position is for the second shift; the majority of work must be performed after 3:00 PM. Starting base pay is $16.50, with an additional $2 shift differential.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED (preferred but not required).
• Working knowledge of basic math.

Responsibilities

• Complete work-area setup.
• Operate and feed the machine safely and efficiently according to established procedures.
• Stack completed products according to established procedures and, when required, cover, label, and band components or finished products.
• Ensure the work area is safe, clean, and organized and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Complete pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklists and report problems or concerns.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintain production records as required.
• Check materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
• Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participate in safety, continuous improvement, and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
