About The Position

Stratas Foods LLC is seeking qualified Machine Operator candidates for full-time positions with available shifts including first and second shifts. The role involves performing a variety of tasks in a food manufacturing environment, including general housekeeping, preparing and packaging product, and operating and maintaining machinery. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computer knowledge, including data entry.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, stand for long periods of time, work in confined spaces, and work with heights.
  • Must be able to work assigned shift, overtime, and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general housekeeping, rework, prepare packaging, and package product.
  • Set up machines prior to shift start-up.
  • Attend to the operation of machines and make necessary adjustments for production changes.
  • Perform proper tear down, cleaning, and reassembling of pumps, sanitary lines, and line equipment.
  • Attend to and adjust machines during operation to ensure product flow.
  • Operate CIP skids and perform breakdown and cleaning of line components.
  • Handle chemicals and use required PPE.
  • Complete daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual MSS items.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Communicate with supervisor when equipment needs attention.
  • Report and resolve any observed quality issues while cleaning equipment.
  • Successfully pass qualification test.
  • Participate in efficiency and safety improvement teams.
  • Learn and follow written rules and procedures.
  • Produce accurate documentation.
  • Follow attendance policies.
  • Fill in when needed in temporary/permanent vacancies.
  • Adhere to and comply with all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations, and policies.
