About The Position

This position will set up, tear down, and operate the tow motor and hand mules, dumpers, grinders, mixers, emulsifiers. The role involves moving heavy materials, adding ingredients to meat blends, performing weight and process checks, and maintaining general manufacturing practices. The position requires participation in job rotations, including operating a tow motor, and accurate completion of paperwork and computer entries, including SAP functions. Basic math skills are necessary, along with the ability to work overtime and weekends as needed. Compliance with all safety, food safety, GMP, and SQF requirements is essential. Proficiency in reading and writing is required for effective communication and accurate record-keeping.

Requirements

  • 3 months of work history with the same employer
  • Proficiency in reading and writing
  • Ability to complete on-the-job paperwork
  • Ability to accurately record and report product information into the computer
  • Ability to complete all paperwork and SAP functions as required for position
  • Ability to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
  • Ability to obtain tow motor certification
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements
  • Ability to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently
  • Ability to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours
  • Ability to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees

Nice To Haves

  • Machine Operator experience preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
  • RF Scanner experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Move buckets weighing 280 pounds and tanks weighing 2900 pounds of final ground meat from holding cooler to grinding room.
  • Move 200 pounds of meat with a shovel or fork from strainers, correctors, or combos.
  • Add water, cures, seasoning, corn syrup, and other ingredients to meat blends for correct batching of meat materials.
  • Perform necessary weight and process checks.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
  • Maintain general manufacturing practices.
  • Participate in position rotations, including tow motor.
  • Complete all paperwork and accurately record and report product information into the computer.
  • Complete all paperwork and SAP functions as required for position.
  • Perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
  • Work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
  • Obtain tow motor certification.
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
  • Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
  • Perform any other work as assigned by management.
