About The Position

A Machine Operator operates and maintains machinery while supporting safe, efficient, and accurate production. The role involves setting up machines, monitoring their performance and product quality, adjusting settings as needed, and maintaining equipment. The operator also records production quantities, communicates issues to supervisors, helps train new operators, and assists with bi-annual plant inventories. The position is in Eaton, Ohio, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Requirements

Knowledge of machine operation and maintenance procedures.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials weighing over 25 pounds.

Forklift experience.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate machines according to specifications and instructions.
Monitor machine operations for quality and efficiency, adjusting settings as necessary.
Inspect slit materials and products to confirm they meet quality standards and specifications.
Identify and report defects or issues with machinery or products, and report machine malfunctions to the supervisor.
Perform daily routine quality checks.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines; ensure safety devices and guards are in place and functioning.
Participate in safety training and contribute to a workplace safety culture.
Maintain accurate records of production quantities and communicate production issues or concerns to supervisors and management.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety instructions.
Assist in training new machine operators.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Assist with bi-annual plant inventories.
Keep equipment clean and maintained.
Perform other duties as assigned.
