About The Position

The Dixon Group is seeking a dependable, detail-focused Machine Operator to join our Boss Division in Chestertown, MD. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on production work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and thrives in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. In this role, you will operate and monitor a variety of specialized equipment, including small hydraulic presses, semi-automated marking devices, and threading machines to produce high-quality parts to specification. You’ll be responsible for ensuring machines run smoothly, performing routine quality checks, and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient workspace. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Basic mechanical aptitude, such as experience with: Routine vehicle maintenance, Hydraulic equipment, Small engine repair
• Strong attention to detail and focus on quality
• Commitment to safety protocols
• Ability to follow established procedures
• Solid time management and reliability
• Observant, proactive, and accountable

Responsibilities

• Set up, load, and operate production equipment safely and efficiently
• Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments as needed
• Perform routine quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
• Identify, isolate, and report defective parts
• Conduct basic troubleshooting to support continuous production
• Accurately record production data
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area
