The Machine Operator's role is to safely and effectively operate all Machinery and Equipment in the Secondary Production Department.

Requirements

  • High School, or Technical School Diploma, or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate various Machining, Assembly, Printing and Finishing Machines and Equipment per M.O.I.'s. Machines such as, Presses, Milling Machines, Laser Welders, Laser Cutters, Spot Welders, Printers, Tweaking Tools etc...
  • Perform gauging and visual inspections per M.O.I.'s.
  • Fill out required paperwork (Followers, Inspection Ticket, etc.).
  • Maintain on organized, clean and safe work environment and follow 6S standards.
  • Properly follow all safety procedures and policies. Use correct P.P.E.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor. May be assigned to work in other departments.
