This is an entry-level role at an electronics manufacturer specializing in battery packs, cables, and wire harnesses. The primary responsibility is to program a tabletop wire cutting machine to cut wires to specific lengths according to job instructions. The company will provide training on programming the machine, reading basic schematics and prints, and understanding wire cut lists. The role involves following wire cut lists, maintaining familiarity with packaging requirements, and ensuring proper wire cutting and labeling techniques. Collaboration with inventory control personnel and the Production Manager is expected, along with assisting in production-driven projects and setting wire cutting priorities. Familiarity with electronic components, specifically AWG standards, is also required. The position involves notifying Account Managers and the Production Manager of component shortages and clarifying discrepancies with the Bill of Materials (BOM) and product specifications. There is an opportunity to train others in wire cutting proficiency over time. The job requires the ability to lift spools of wire and cable, potentially work on multiple orders simultaneously, and be flexible to stop and start work orders as requested. Teamwork is essential, with an expectation that remaining team members will continue jobs if others are absent. Other duties may be assigned.
