About The Position

The associate in this position has learned all the technical competencies necessary to operate production equipment and can read and understand part specifications and enter productivity and run conditions into our system. This is a leadership position within the Production – Converting Area.

Requirements

  • Ability to interact, respect and work with individuals with disabilities.
  • Possess computer skills for clocking information into time module & relevant job-related tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment including ability to read & do basic math functions and understand the English language.
  • Willingness to train associates on any machines in converting department.
  • Ability to lift & position (with assistance) 85-pounds for changeovers depending on the machine being operated.
  • Demonstrated ability to concentrate closely both mentally and visually for sustained periods of time on repetitive tasks.
  • High School Diploma / GED preferred or proven work experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated ability to set up and operate all machines efficiently in converting area.
  • Consistently meets production targets with acceptable quality.
  • Ability to safely train new employees on any specified machines in converting department.
  • Utilize skills and become a resource to assist others in the department be successful.
  • Inspects product for deficiencies and out of specification issues.
  • Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot process issues.
  • Effectively communicates material and equipment concerns to leadership.
  • Maintains accurate production records.
  • Performs daily operator maintenance and maintains a clean and organized workspace.
  • Communicates continuous improvement suggestions to leadership.
  • Practices good safety habits and understands HVO safety rules & regulations.
  • Becomes familiar with relevant FDA and ISO standards.
  • Possess computer skills for clocking information into time module & relevant job-related tasks.
  • Assist in non-routine temporary tasks needed in the department.
  • Proven leadership skills by working in any area to meet production schedules.
  • Serve as a role model to demonstrate good work habits and behaviors.
  • Practice proper gowning procedures and acceptable hygiene.
  • Support all associates in department and accepts responsibility.
  • Completes recommended training as requested.
