This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. Job Description Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Waterjet Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with operating waterjets and the ability to produce high-precision parts from various materials. You will be responsible for setting up, monitoring, and maintaining waterjet equipment to ensure quality and efficiency in production.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in operating waterjets, plasma tables, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing or a related field.
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Basic digital literacy, including Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes
  • Technical/trade school training or industry certification.
  • Experience with CNC machinery and software, e.g., Flow, OMAX.

Responsibilities

  • Operate waterjets to cut, shape, and profile materials per engineering models, blueprints, CAD files, and specifications.
  • Set up and load materials accurately and securely using forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Maintain all consumables, and support waste stream.
  • Monitor and adjust cutting parameters; perform routine inspections and maintenance.
  • Measure and inspect finished parts for quality and specification compliance.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate equipment or process issues as needed.
  • Meet production schedules and document work activities accurately.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
  • Operate additional equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Shift change handovers
