Machine Operator Trainee
About The Position
As a Machine Operator Trainee with Contech in Springfield, IL, you will contribute to America’s essential infrastructure, including drainage systems, pipe, bridges and structures, and stormwater management. This role involves receiving work assignments and schedules from plant supervision, obtaining materials manually or with a crane or forklift, using tools and equipment to fabricate components according to prints, and performing quality control reporting. Requirements
- A minimum of 1-year of manufacturing experience.
- Experience working on manufacturing equipment.
- Good organizational and math skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Receives work assignments and schedules from plant supervision.
- Obtains material manually or with crane or forklift and moves to work area.
- Uses tools and equipment to fabricate each component to match the fabrication print.
- Checks quality of each component and completes quality control reporting.
