Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Machine Operator Technician II, Fabrication, 2nd Shift. The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. The core hours are Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm until 1:00 am. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. In the Machine Operator, Fabrication role, you will manufacture components using steel, aluminum, and cast metals in accordance with blueprint specifications. This position requires effective communication and collaboration with team members to successfully complete tasks while meeting safety, quality, and productivity standards. Contribute to a safe, engaged, and inclusive workplace by following all policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe operation of equipment, and participation in 5S practices. Interpret travel documents, blueprints, and verbal or written instructions to set up, operate, and perform routine maintenance on equipment such as shears, Finn Power, Prima machines, horizontal press brakes/benders, and Trumpf lasers. Maintain workflow and productivity in assigned areas, communicating any delays or concerns in a timely manner. Identify and recommend process improvements, and perform root cause analysis to resolve quality or production issues. Ensure product quality by measuring parts with tools such as tape measures and calipers, conducting visual inspections, identifying nonconforming materials, and troubleshooting errors. Cross-train in other roles and provide support in different job functions as needed. Monitor and maintain proper machine operation, addressing and resolving equipment issues. Prepare machinery for daily use by completing appropriate setup and safety checks. Inspect finished products for defects and verify compliance with quality standards. Report equipment malfunctions and suggest improvements to supervisors or team leads.
