Berner Food & Beverage, a world-class operation and North American leader in food and beverage co-manufacturing, is seeking Skilled Machine Operators /Production Workers for their Dakota, IL location. This role involves operating various food processing machines, ensuring product quality, stacking and inspecting cases, labeling, and performing other assigned duties in compliance with safety policies and Standard Operating Procedures. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment and will work with cutting-edge automation and technology.

Requirements

Must be able to lift up to twenty pounds regularly and repetitively
Ability to read a production schedule/assignment
Ability to communicate effectively with Supervisors
Solid understanding of basic math
Must be able to read, write, and comprehend English
Good computer skills

Nice To Haves

Experience in operating various machinery as it relates to Berner's Operations: Packaging Systems (KHS); Filler Machine, Retorts (aseptic), Brewing equipment (Brew Deck operations); Labeler, and Pallatizer
Experience and understanding of CCPs; SOPs; Customer Specifications, Production Analytics

Responsibilities

Stack cases in a pattern assigned to the product
Operate various machinery including Packaging Systems (KHS), Filler Machine, Retorts (aseptic), Brewing equipment (Brew Deck operations), Labeler, and Pallatizer
Understand CCPs, SOPs, Customer Specifications, and Production Analytics
Label products accordingly to product requirements
Perform various tasks as assigned by Supervisor
Keep area clear of debris and hazards
Inspect cases while being stacked for proper packing, damaged product, or other deformities
Place a holding layer of shrink wrap on pallets to ensure stability
Proactively inform Supervisors and Line Operators of problems
Perform scanning functions and issue paperwork or tracking numbers
