Position Summary: This position will set up, tear down and operate the Peeler and all other support equipment.

Requirements

3 months work history with the same employer

The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level minimum of 20 pounds frequently.
Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid hand and eye coordination to move product on a conveyor and/or other processing equipment.
Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours.
Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently.
Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees.
Ability and willingness to distinguish between shades and/or colors.

Nice To Haves

Machine Operator experience preferred
Experience in a manufacturing setting preferred
RF Scanner experience preferred

Responsibilities

Move racked product and remove racks to the rack wash area.
Move 900 pounds of product on racks from the holding cooler to the peeler room.
Empty smokehouse chills when the product is ready.
Perform necessary weight and process checks.
Perform general housekeeping duties in the department.
Must be HACCP certified to do FIT checks on the KSI.
Take salimeter readings and adjust if necessary.
Check and clean the KSI screens.
Pick up floor meat and/or trash in the clean room and transport to the clean room vestibule.
Will need to be tow motor certified to transport tanks and racks.
Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (i.e.: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and SAP functions
Ability and willingness to complete all paperwork and accurately record and report product information into the computer.
Maintain general manufacturing practices.
Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
Perform all positions of job rotation as needed.
Perform any other work as assigned by management.
