About The Position

The Lincolnton, NC Conversion, Customizing and Packaging Center is seeking a Machine Operator Packaging Floater to aid in the production process by successfully operating all Packaging Machines in The PA2 Value Stream. This role involves operating machines such as Algus Clamshell sealing, RF sealing, Hang Tag, Shrink Wrap, and Manual Tube Packaging. The operator must be familiar with all parts of these machines and gain general knowledge of machines throughout the reciprocating saw blade manufacturing area (PA2). Responsibilities include troubleshooting and making adjustments to machines, completing required training, and maintaining a positive work environment by following safety procedures. The role requires the ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours a day, excellent hand dexterity, and meeting production standards.

Ability to lift (up to) 40lb. boxes
General Math Skills
High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school required

Responsibilities

Operating all Packaging Machines in The PA2 Value Stream (Algus Clamshell sealing, RF sealing, Hang Tag, Shrink Wrap, and Manual Tube Packaging).
Gaining and maintaining general knowledge of machines throughout the reciprocating saw blade manufacturing area (PA2).
Troubleshooting and making adjustments to the machines when necessary.
Completing required training measures (PQ&T's).
Maintaining a positive work environment by following appropriate safety procedures.
Setting up and operating all components of the machine successfully.
Loading reciprocating saw blades, clamshells, cards etc... into machine.
Replenishing materials as needed (tape, labels, clams, cards, etc).
Placing sealed clamshells into cartons / Loading cartons into machine.
Loading / Unloading pallets.
Operating pin lift, pallet lift, and hoist.
Making the necessary adjustments to run machine efficiently.
Reading and following standard operating procedures pertaining to the machine.
Detecting and determining the appropriate quality standards and measures for each machine.
Understanding and following procedures pertaining to machine cleanliness and tool organization.
Operating a variety of machines on an as needed basis.
Maintaining knowledge of safety procedures associated with each machine, including safety guards, emergency stops, and disconnects for lock out tag out.
