About The Position

The Authentic T-Shirt Company®/SanMar Canada is a leading distributor of high-quality apparel and the leading wholesale distributor in the imprintable apparel industry in Canada. They are seeking a Machine Operator/Order Picker to join their team in Vancouver, BC. The role involves accurately and efficiently picking customer orders following an established sequential routine. Requirements

  • Must be able to count quickly and accurately.
  • Have the ability to recognize picking locations, product and colors.
  • 40 hours per week; occasional overtime required.
  • Walking for extended periods.
  • Able to lift and carry weight up to 50lbs.
  • Able to work at heights of 20 plus ft on Narrow Aisle Order Picker.
  • Repetitive bending, pulling and stretching required throughout the day.
  • Must wear CSA approved safety footwear with protective steel toes and other personal protective equipment as required.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
  • Class 2 MHE Narrow Aisle certified is preferred (Willing to train).

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently pick customer orders following an established sequential routine as per established picking process.
  • Strive to achieve or exceed picking accuracy targets.
  • Work with minimal supervision and keep assigned picking aisles clean and litter free.
  • Report mixed or wrong product in bins to the replenishment team immediately.
  • Mark multi-tote orders with invoice numbers and can all orders at the point of order pickup.
  • Ensure product is not overhanging/falling from bins.
  • Suggest methods to improve job effectiveness.
  • Participate in the inventory cycle count program when required.
  • Ensure all operating equipment is maintained in working functional condition.
  • Complete required daily checklists on machines.
  • Monitor supply levels (bags, tape, etc.) and advise key personnel when low.
  • Adhere to current and future company policies and standards to ensure a safe and agreeable working environment.
  • Assist in other areas of the warehouse and perform additional duties as required by management.
  • Adhere to the KPI Policy.
  • Participate in general warehouse meetings and work in cooperation and communicate effectively with all levels of the SanMar Canada team.
  • Keep co-workers informed of activities that have implications to their department.
  • Openly communicate any successes, concerns, or problems related to the job.
