Machine Operator / Line Technician – Automated Pallet Sorting
About The Position
This role involves operating and monitoring an automated pallet sorting system. The technician will be responsible for inspecting plastic pallets and cardboard slip sheets for quality and usability, removing damaged or rejected materials from the line, and manually restacking, straightening, repairing, or discarding rejected materials as needed. The goal is to ensure that properly sorted and stacked materials are ready for robotic production use. Additionally, the role includes performing light mechanical troubleshooting, minor machine adjustments, clearing jams, and resolving routine operational issues. Maintaining safe work practices, keeping the work area clean and organized, and communicating equipment issues to maintenance and leadership are also key aspects of this position.
Requirements
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a 12-hour shift
- Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and manual material handling
- Comfortable working in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work independently and stay productive in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
